What is a commercial ozone air purifier?<\/b><\/p>\n

Also known as an ozone air generator or ozone machine, a commercial ozone air purifier is one of the most common ways to “clean” the air and eliminate strong odours. These systems are designed to create ozone through a simple process that occurs naturally in the atmosphere.\u00a0<\/span>Ozone air cleaners essentially absorb oxygen from the air (O2) and give it a strong electrical charge. This electrical charge then allows the oxygen molecules to rearrange and form O3, our famous ozone.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The ozone is then released into the air by the system. When it hits molecules such as mould or smoke, the third oxygen molecule attaches itself to the molecules of the pollutant and virtually eliminates it. O3 binds to bacteria, fungi, germs, odours and other contaminants and, at the molecular level, destroys the cell wall. This process removes the contaminant while returning the ozone to oxygen.\u00a0<\/span>With this process, ozone air purifiers can be extremely useful for cleaning pungent odours, eliminating smoke odour, but also, mould and mildew. They are used in hospitals, hotels, clinics and hostels.<\/span><\/p>\n
